Vision & Purpose

The award has been instituted to honour a true “Guru” in the highest sense—one who has dedicated an entire lifetime to the noble mission of educating children, especially those from tribal and remote regions. Such an individual embodies and lives the core human values, and has embraced the sacred responsibility of nurturing young minds through the true meaning of Educare—“bringing out what is within.”

This inner awakening reflects the five fundamental human values: Love, Truth, Peace, Right Conduct, and Non-violence, which the awardee not only imparts but exemplifies in thought, word, and deed.
